Simon Moore or Joe Lewis?

Mon Jul 28, 2014 12:19 am

So should Marshall miss the start of the season, who would you go for?

Marshall missed one league match last season, at Hull in September. Joe Lewis stood in on that day and had a good game.

Personally, though, I'd go for Moore.

He seems to have had a good pre-season and Ole has given him plenty of chances this summer. I guess we'll find out next week against Wolfsburg.

Fingers crossed Marshall is ok though.

Hope he doesn't cross his fingers. It could make things worse. :laughing6:

Lewis is definitely good enough.

Haven't seen Moore in a competitive game to have an opinion. It's quite a big call though - if Moore has potential to be better than Lewis then it would be a missed opportunity in terms of his progression. Don't play Lewis and he'll surely be thinking time to move on as he's way to good to be a third choice Championship keeper.

Moore. More acrobatic and commanding in the box

I dont have much faith in Lewis and not seen enough of Moore.

So someone else in would be a must for me.

Fingers crossed Marshall is alright. If he isnt then Id like to see Moore given the chance. He came with a good reputation, with a lot of potential.

As for Lewis, Im always happy to give players a chance but whenever he's stepped in he's never really convinced me. He doesn't look comfortable, defenders need to have confidence in their goalkeeper behind them and I dont think Lewis brings that to the table.

Looks like Moore is the clear choice.

Moore for me. Not seen much of him but I've not seen anything to make me worry. Lewis on the other hand...

Terry Phillips says Joe Lewis missed the Yeovil match because his wife is close to giving birth.

He expects Lewis to get the nod against Blackburn (with Moore on the bench) if Marshall is out.

However, the club say they are hopeful Marshall will be fit - the scan showed no serious damage after Len Noakes popped the dislocated finger back into place.

Ben Turner does look to be a longer term injury.
