Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall will have X-rays on his hand on Monday after dislocating a finger during Sunday’s friendly with Yeovil Town.

The Scotland international is a target for a number of clubs but could now miss the Championship kick-off.
Cardiff, meanwhile, have told Inter Milan they want £12m for Chile midfielder Gary Medel.

' Gary Medel '

Gary Medel most recently appeared for Chile at the World Cup, where he impressed in a defensive role.
He played 34 league games for the Bluebirds last season in what could prove to be his first and last campaign at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The holding midfielder was unable to stop Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side from slipping back into the Championship as the Welsh outfit finished rock bottom in the Premier League.

Cardiff City have now raised the price tag to £12 million and refuse to discuss any loan deals.
Cardiff City have also offered Medel an improved offer on his current contract and the Captains armband.

Would be a great call - if Medel was to stay .

As for Marshall - Let's hope he is fit to play on match day 1 .

Moore is a decent back up he will do fine.

Still think it's a gambit by our club to make the other clubs come in a bit faster.

I dislocated my thumb about 2 months back. It popped out and straight back in. Still feeling it now and can't put loads of pressure on it. Would certainly keep me out of goals if that was my position. Didn't go to hospital or nothing to try to recover it quicker but could marshy be out for months???

It will depend what part and which finger was dislocated. First they'll look to To stop the swelling as you can't use NSAIDs (like ibruprofen) because they increase wound healing time so ice and other cold therapies. Then it'll be rest followed by rehab. Goalkeepers gloves have inbuilt supports which will help but you obviously want to ensure he's not at risk.

Out for a month which seems a decent amount of time. But like most dislocations he's always going to be at risk and of course it could have psychological effects.

Im well happy with this news after all Inter's messing around its good to see we wont be held to ransome for our players and if Inter can offer £13m for a flop like osvaldo surely they can afford £12m for the quality of Medel

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has indicated that Cardiff's Chile international midfielder Gary Medel is on his way to Serie A... ... Speaking from Washington, where Inter are on tour, he told reporters: "With the arrival of Medel, and a quality forward, we would be able to aim for the Champions League."

Always the way the Italians seem to do busniess. They use the media to jump the gun and put pressure on the selling club. I hope Gary Medel has been clearly told that if Inter don't meet our asking price, then he is not going there.

if we hold out for £12m then you'll get your wish. he's just not worth that kind of money, even after a few good games at the world cup.

if we want to move him on then we have to be realistic. for me a reasonable fee would be £7-8m down with another £2m or so in add ons.

obviously the reason we're holding out for £12m is that we overpaid for him and want to recoup that money, but markets don't care what you paid for him, whether its £1m or £11m, his value is what he's worth right now :ayatollah:
