connolly starting CB?

Think he's definately making a case having a good game today and the season we went up he played very well and always chipped in with a good few goals.

If we don't bring anyone in he'd be my starting centre back

I'm up for keeping Connelly in the squad this season because of his versatility and the fact that he doesn't seem to complain about being used as a squad player. His passing and decision making are good enough for us to play the way we want to at this level. He's good enough at this level but not the best we can get I would say. We also have KTC who can cover at CB and RB.

So If we are to get another CB this year then we need to off load one or maybe even two. Cala must stay but of the rest of them Turner I think would command the best fee (and I would guess is on the highest wages). While I'm not one of his critics, at the same time I don't think he improves us dramatically. I'd love to keep Hudson because of his presence around the squad, but as is, someone has to leave if we are to recruit...

Cala and Connolly for me too. Both far more comfortable with the ball on the floor. Turner for all his efforts is just too route one. Opposing teams have fathomed this out... put him under pressure and it's a long ball giving away possession.
Hopefully this year we now have the firepower to put difficult games to bed. We therefore need to retain possession to feed our attacking players.

Good player and has a point to prove after MM shunned him

He's definitely an option for me. His track record in the Championship is first class and he is a good footballing centre back.

Id hope he would be used primarily as a centre back but being versatile also helps his cause.
