As owner takes money

Blackpool chairman Oyston’s says that the players on Riga’s wish-list are asking for wages beyond a club of Blackpool’s means.

Karl and Owen Oyston have take £35 million out of the club in the form of wages and interest free loans made to other companies they own.

Wow, new debts added bigger than ever before and colour changed to red for a new empty stand and one season of prem which you didn't even attend.
You are one easily pleased c**t.

Haha here is laughing at you Wez.

Historical debts have not been paid off, has Sam has all his money yet? Also do take note of CF14 here

New stand in lovely red. Actually I don't have a problem with the colour red, it could have been any colour, it is the reasoning behind it and that is to promote the rebrand which is exactly what this Stand...stands for...excuse the pun.

Ha premiership football....is that what it means for you?

Lets get back on track here.

I heard about this a few weeks ago. It seems to me all the Oyston family are doing is using Blackpool football club to support their other ventures. I bet it is a very complex structure to see how the money coming into the club is being dispersed. To me as an outsider they seem to be investing in the ground infrastructure but not the team itself. This tells me they are preparing a way out once they have secured their own other interests.

No, it's NOT just 'another debt', it's an investment. When we get to owe this amount to some anonymous hedge fund, the HMRC and some catering companies who want it all back right now with interest, THEN it'll be 'another debt'.

until then......

Of course its a debt what planet you on he will want it back, its not suppose to be a debt though as the whole rebrand in most fans eyes was on a DEBT TO EQUITY promise so untill then its a DEBT :laughing5:

of course he'll want it back, but the huge difference between this and other kinds of debt is that this an investment-loan with the explicit target of conversion to equity. The debts we owed to Langston, HMRC and local suppliers were simply toxic debts, money that the lenders wanted back asap and we couldn't repay them. There are different kinds of debt and right now we have the safest type

Surely you can tell the difference ?!

its not that these people do not understand what you say..its more a case of not WANTING to think about what your saying........because if you stop and actually think, you then have to stop the hate of tan.......and for some of these that hate is actually their life.

Simon weasel and drDre its not hard to understand at all anyone with half a brain cell knows a loan is a DEBT you have to pay back, it makes no diffrence its still a debt this drDre guy seems to think past debts we have had are real toxic debts and the one tan is lumping on the club ( with false promises ) are much better than a DEBT which is what it is untill he calls them in the same as HMRC , LANGSTON or any other company past or present who are owed money from cardiff city untill tan stops breaking promises such as the BIGGEST one of all converting then guess what ITS A DEBT TO THE CLUB :laughing6:

You gorget one thing hmrc do not take 10p in the pound as payment if cannot pay debt they wind u up (liquidation) ask all other clubs that they destroyed? Do you think tan is going to lose many millions? debt is debt your right but there is good and bad debt! eg mortgage is debt is that bad? and as tan broken promise on equity? No because he is stilll here and until that changes he as not broken promise, time will say if he as broken it.

Re: It just gets worse for them

Sun Jul 27, 2014 8:48 pm

is he supposed to fund a football club making constant losses? we are told football is a business, yet when it is actually run like a business people make threads like this.

whilst we here condemn him for taking money out of the club to get a return on his investment, how many of you would be prepared to dip into your hard earned money and pay a few grand to get a fans trust to take over CCFC, potentially losing it all if players don't perform.

exactly…. :ayatollah:

I would swap positions with Blackpool right now. Pompey went through what Blackpool are going through a few seasons ago and they're still only 2 divisions below us. One of my mates who's been a loyal City fan for years but got driven away by Tan, turned up to Yeovil today to see what it was like and see if he would have a change of heart, but sadly he didn't. Tragic how fans like that are being driven away because it doesn't feel like the team they once fell in love with. It's success at any cost for some of us though. :(

Eagerly awaiting your answer.

VT will get his money back when he sells the club. If we get back to the prem he may decide to keep the club and use it as a vehicle to promote himself and his investments around the world.
Being an owner in the premier opens a lot of doors and the publicity is priceless.

Shame 25k didnt feel same way last season or the 18K this season? Wonder how many of them would swap positions? Vast minority would but not the majority.
