Southampton Ripped Apart

Sat Jul 26, 2014 4:56 pm

Lambert, Lallana and Shaw gone already, with the likely possibility that Lovren, Chambers, Schneiderlin, Fonte and a few others will leave aswell, they've gone from a team that could of possibly challenged for Europe to relegation candidates. Not to mention they had a top quality manager who left aswell. It's like the club had all its limbs ripped off

They need to make some VERY good signings in the next few weeks if they're to be anywhere near as good as the team they were last year. They must have a sh*t load of money to spend now though.

It's honestly quite sad to see. They're fans must be wondering what the hell is going on

Dont think their fans can complain whoever leaves. From admin to 2 seasons in the premier I think most fans would take that.

Of course it could be a different story if they are told they will be representing a different design to please the owner.

Like the loss of of their traditional broad red & white stripe! For pin stripe or plain red as seen in previous 2 seasons?

Are Southampton in a financial mess or something because it doesn't make sense their mass sales and decimation of their main players. I can understand taking the money on offer for shaw but the rest of them baffles me. They have had a couple of good seasons in the premiership and play good football but are risking this with their transfer policy.

It's the same old story......Big fish eat little ones.

Southampton have built a good team, and the Liverpool's and Man U of this world will gobble them up.

And sometimes a bigger fish like Real Madrid or Barcelona comes along and there's f**k all the English teams can do about it.

In the long run that money is all good.

Lost a manager but got a very good one again in the ex Basel manager who if he gets the right players will play fantastic attacking football.

They will replace, I think people are writing them off to quickly.
