Go for cimla.

Closer to town / railway station / m4 etc
More "classy areas", good local schools and close enough to Afan Argoed for cycling.

Avoid Glyneath - its out of the way, (15 min on the dual in to neath) irregular buses if your car is broken, no train station, very few shops, and quite a few dodgy areas. Known drug problem up there at the moment with the youth too.

Not the worst place by far - but Cimla is by far the better option.

I live in cimla. The only pub is about to be demolished to make way for Tesco. The primary schools are good and the comprehensive is top notch. f**k the jacks they're all a bunch of pussies, I wear my city tops daily with pride.
