If not top, where does he stand?

Retired Undisputed And linear Heavyweight Champion of the World.
Won Olympic gold as an Amatuer.
And by way of rematch, defeated Everyman he ever faced in the ring.

Former Trainer and late legend,Emmanuel Steward once described him as "the best heavyweight he has ever seen.
A fighter who would've been challenging and competing in any era".

But how is Lennox Lewis Viewed by the people of the country he represented?

Many feel he should've faced Vitalli again before retiring, perhaps he should've.
But what would he have gained?

Me personally although never the most exciting fighter, he was clinical.
He knew his strengths and more often than not he faught to them.
Many fighters have attempted to alter their style and neglected their own strengths in doing so.
Notably another Brit Amir Khan.
If Khan adopted Lennox's Style of being cautios and fighting to your own strengths and not your opponents the I firmly believe Amir would be an elite World Operator even with a suspect chin.

Amir has far to much bravado and eagerness to prove himself.

Lennox never got sucked in.
He was sparked out twice, both contentious decisions.
McCall closed his eyes and caught Lennox. Rematch proved to be pointless given Olivers mental issues.
Rahman took a swing and hit the lottery, but lightning certainly did not strike twice.

Lucky Punches,dodgy altitude..whatever the reason.

Lennox just got back in the ring and did his thing.

I would like to place him in the Top 5 Heavyweights of all time.

But what's your views on the big man?

Clinical but not charasmatic enough.

I remember his fight against Bruno. Bruno tried to make it a grudge match but Lennox wanted nothing to do with it. It was clear Lennox was too good for Bruno and in clinical style just waited for his chance and went in for the kill. Bruno walked out of the ring as if nothing had happened. You would have not thought he had just been knocked out. Basically Lennox did enough without breaking sweat resulting in Bruno realising he was out of his depth and wishing he would have kept his mouth shut.

After the match Lennox behaviour was explemorary giving Bruno a lot of respect and calling him his brother. I believe Bruno learnt to grow up after that scenario.

Where does Lennox stand you ask.....behind Ali, Fraser, Norton, Foreman, Holyfield.....even Bugner.

  Agree with everything you say apart from the last bit.Thats a bit cruel.Joe Bugner was a fantstic technician but thats all.no heart.Beat an ageing Henry Cooper and was never forgiven for it.Knew how to look after himself in a ring as well as any I've seen but possibly the most negative fighter I've seen ever.Poor old Lennox don't deserve to be under him.
