dalman is right,u shouldnt lose value after having a good world cup and fonte is in last year of contract.RFMH wrote:Bit silly really, we're doing the same thing with Fonte.

Good World Cup doesn't make a diff any more. The World Cup isn't the top level of football any more.
It doesn't matter if Fonte has a year left or not. Southampton have, seemingly, been pretty transparent that they have a specific valuation in mind and Cardiff aren't meeting it. If anything it would seem with FFP it's more imperative we sell Medel than Southampton lose Fonte.

And no it isn't the same as the fonte deal as fonte is 30 years old and in the last year of his contract and we started with a bid of more than half fonte's value wheras milan start with loan offers then a £4m offer with £1m up front then say we cant ask for more as we are in the championship well McCormack has never played at the top level and went for £11m apparently Jordan Rodes has an £10m price tag aswell just because we are in the championship dont mean we cant take what our players are worth Inters negotiation team are abysmal

Then what is the top level of football if it's not the World Cup?
