I'd never buy anything off anyone selling door to door. I don't think it should be allowed.

I did speak to one of the main energy firms about supplying sales people but after spending days/weeks looking at what the guys would be required to do not even I could put my name to same of dodgy stuff which went on. I spent a day with on of their salesman to look at what the guys would be required to do and f**k me. The guy didn't really know why I was with him and I seen him with my own eyes doing dodgy signatures on over at least 20 application forms of people who clearly said 'no' on the doorstep.

He would say 'no problem but can you just sign your name here to let me guys know that I've been here', the person would and the signature was on an actual contract!!!!

Mate it's becoming more and me common knowledge that the charities you collect for aren't getting the full amount of what the person is donating. Best out of there if you ask me

My biggest hate are the charity people in the street who harass people in the street. If people want to give money to charity they would and without a third party getting a chunk.

Don't worry, when one door closes another opens.

it is annoying but it does work.

i worked with one of those companies and fair ply, for every £1 the charity spent on people on the street they'd get £5 back to the charity (that includes their admin fees) so it really does work.

For us it was if someone donated £10 you get £30 , but £20 Goes into a bond so the charity would not lose out, after 21 days if the person did not cancel you got the £20 so really you got £50
