World War Three

Fri Jul 25, 2014 11:17 am

How likely do you think the scenarios currently unfolding around the world are likely to lead to a worldwide conflict?

I'm not saying nuclear like, but conventional warfare?

I think it highly possible unfortunately.

I think all the major countries know it would be no benefit to themselves to go into war that break out in their own country.

As it has been in the past 20 years I can remember, the world is at war, just in other peoples territories rather than our own.

Im not too sure. The Cold War was an entirely different scenario, where nuclear attack was always surreptiously implied, and the ethos of MAD prevailed. Nowadays, conventional weapons can be just as devastating without the need for all the nuclear threat. As there have been numerous times in the past where statements have been made implying population reduction, it doesnt surprise me that conflicts are engineered in sensitive areas and fuelled by the powers that be in order to spread to a wider conflagration.

Yes but capitalism only works with those who can afford it. The vast majority of people in the world are poor, and therefore a drain on those practising capitalism. Believe me the powers that be want rid of a vast swathe of humanity. What better way than a worldwide conflict?

We are on the right side then with Anerica. Unfortunately our involvement will be minimal.

Thing is the destruction that a lot of countries have i don't think anything will happen. Nuclear weapons = deterrent. But in a few years China will be a deadly threat. Forget Russia and Norh Korea China will be a game changer IMO
