Is this their way of getting a health and safety licence because they know they won't fill that stand for the friendly games?

Cardiff City FC is holding an OPEN TRAINING SESSION at CCS this Saturday, 26th July. Details and times are as follows:
Cardiff City will be hosting an open training session on Saturday 26th July at Cardiff City Stadium, offering you the best chance to see the players preparing for the new 2014-15 Sky Bet Championship campaign ahead.
Fresh from their current tour of Austria, the players will continue their build-up to the season with an hour-long session scheduled for fans to enjoy. Acting as our first build-up event for the opening of the new Ninian Stand, you will also be able to take a good look around the new facility and take in the new views.
With Cardiff City Stadium also set to host the UEFA Super Cup final on August 12th, the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup trophies will be in attendance for you to view and have your picture taken with. This is your first chance to see the trophies in Cardiff before they go on their nationwide tour of Wales throughout August.
After the session and photo opportunity the players will conduct a signing session in the Ricoh suite, allowing you to get up close and personal with your favourite City stars.
*Entry is absolutely FREE for all supporters wishing to attend the event! Head to the new Ninian Stand development where you will be guided to the correct entrance gate.*
Open training session schedule:
10.10am: Open turnstiles
11.00am – 12.00pm: Training session to be conducted by Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and staff
12.00pm: First access to queue for photo opportunity with the three trophies in the Sytner Lounge in the Grandstand. (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa Cup and UEFA Super Cup).

Are the photos free(like you can take your own with the trophy) or will they have a professional photographer were you have to pay some silly price?

I heard that it was Ole's idea. Could be right because he said in an interview the other day that he liked them when he was at Man Utd.
Yours sounds plausible too though.

Falls on the same day as the wales protest match for gaza. Coincedence!? I think not! This must be down to the Israelis...

2 birds with one stone? If it gets supporters (and those just curious) to have a free open day, why not? The health and safety certificate is a necessary procedure so why not do both things at once?
Let's be clear: The club is laying on a free open session for everybody and an opportunity to see the squad training, get autographs and has access to 3 big trophies for photos to be taken. I can't see a down side here!! Well done.
If it's Ole's idea, good on him!

Any ideas where else in Wales the trophies are going?

Is it a photo for everyone who wants one or is it a limited time for the photo ops, because I can see it. Taking a lot longer for. The cue for the cups and then meeting the players
