Scottish international Anya, 26, has two years left on his contract at Vicarage Road.

But the Hornets are facing a huge battle to keep hold of him with competition for his signature hotting up.

Anya has become one of Watford’s main men since joining, initially on loan, in 2012.

He has also forced his way into the Scotland setup, earning six caps.

Would be very happy with this, but I cant see him coming here, especially with Prem clubs intrested.

but im wondering are we going to be spending any substantial money on a player... like we have the parachute payments and money from the sales of some big players

i know we have brought in a bundle of players but has any of them cost big, maybe save a bit for january

He would have to move....that's a big commute everyday. 2 hrs each way on a good day.

Good point about the local move to Palace and obviously PL is a draw, BUT....

We can compete on wages (or signing on fees), so finances shouldn't be a problem and of course, he will get game time at Cardiff, together with the prospect of earning PL by fighting a successful campaign.

I wouldn't right it off to quickly. Fingers crossed.
