His team mate got it worse, flying kicked in the chest and bombarded with punches. It was the players who reacted though and started swinging and the Palestinian protesters.

Stupid to have a protest at a football match about something political. I have my own views on the conflict but football should remain pure from politics.

those protesters are dumb as feck...
first of all, what do the players got to do with the conflict? NOTHING...
Then, Maccabi Haifa is a club with a strong opinion and policy about Arabs and Jews, as they INTEGRATE Arabs AND Jews into their side and also into their junior teams.
Seen a report bout that club about 2 years ago, they even drive palestinian children home, picking them up on a route to practice and return...
