i think we all expecyed..caulker. medel and campbell to be sold and bellers to retire......but what dead wood has gone?

I suppose you could count Tommy Smith & Simon Lappin & possibly Andrew Taylor dead wood but I think he's a bit delusional if he thinks we're going to storm the league.

I really want Solskjaer to do well with us. Seems like a top bloke and wants to play football the right way. I don't know if we can. However, this does have a similar feel to when Jean Tigana was managing Fulham in the Championship. I think we could well do well despite any tactical inferiority because of our goal power. We shall see though! I want him to succeed, first and foremost. I'm not 100% confident he will mind.

I will be more comfortable once we have an experienced defender as i think that is all that is missing

I feel the same, not just being a Cardiff fan I obviously want them to do well but this is a defining season for Ole. If he gets it right he could be on his way to a becoming a top manager and take us on a journey with him but on the flip side of that if we not in top half at christmas I think he might be gone

Someone like Warnock would have no problem taking this team up

How do you know we've got a struggling season ahead. Give the bloke a chance and see what happens. He's learnt most of what he knows from a pretty good teacher, and I think we will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. May take a few games for the team to gel, but lets see where we are around xmas time.

Just one defender? Sorry,,,but i think we are missing at least two good defenders, one decent centre back, & a creative midfielder. Squads not good enough as things stands, mid table ( if were lucky) beckons!

Dont forget we have the loans available , by Novemeber we`ll know where we are . Never judge pre season - lets do our best and support the players and manager

mid table?cant see why we'd be worse as we have a better squad than the one that took us up. im not saying we'll finish top but top 6 i think

Who knows how the season is going to go.Managing in the premiership is different to the championship as many managers have found out.At most clubs its about man management with all the foriegn stars, but at championship level you can affect results with good tactics, coaching and work ethic.Ole is our manager, lets get behind him and the players and see where it takes us, and for gods sake if we lose a few games early on lets not get on his and the players backs and create more pressure for them.

I thought we won the Championship with a team which was nowhere near the quality we have at the moment. Malky played a style of football which wasn't very pretty but ground out results. The team we have at the moment can play football and on their day will demolish any other team in the Championship. If we can get Fonte or a similar defender this team has the potential to piss this league....as long as Ole plays the right tactics for each individual game. I would hate to see us go back to Malky's boring 4-5-1 tactics.
