Gary Medel Sets Heart On Inter Despite Galatasaray Push

Chile international Gary Medel has his heart set on moving to Italian giants Inter despite a late push for his signature from Galatasaray.

Inter have been in talks with Medel's club side Cardiff City, with the midfielder seeking an exit from the Welsh club following their relegation from the Premier League.


The Nerazzurri have not yet reached a final agreement with Cardiff to sign Medel, something which opened the door for Galatasaray.

However, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Medel has set his heart on joining Inter.

Cardiff snapped Medel up from Spanish giants Sevilla last season, but the 26-year-old could not help the Welsh side avoid relegation from the Premier League.


The 26-year-old has attracted much attention, further putting himself in the spotlight at the World Cup with Chile.

Medel has won 61 caps for Chile.

Reporters in Italy can make up whatever story they want but if Inter wont pay the asking price they only have themselves to blame they know the asking price yet they just want to mess around and unsettle Medel

He is a professional footballer, he gets paid to do the job... I think it's fair to say most of us would move jobs if it included a bigger salary we are all human! I know some people would disagree with me but I have always said that Medel is class he was consistent in his position and in my view gave us his all, would love to see him stay but if he moves onto greater things then good luck to him!!

I will be glad when he has gone (nothing personal against him) but the club can save money and hopefully pay off some debt.
Interesting to see how we are regarding FFP, with all the sales and reduction of wages that has happened in recent weeks.
