' Passes Medical and signs 3 year deal '

Fraizer Campbell,ex Manchester United player and Cardiff City player passed his medical with Crystal Palace yesterday and has signed a 3 year deal with the London club.

Cardiff City are expected to receive up to £800,000 with add ons.

Campbell was a hit with the Welsh club last season in the Premier League. Manager Solskjær asked him to stay with Cardiff City, but was unable to guarantee Campbell a first team place.

One of his previous clubs Hull City came in with a late bid along with Leicester City who Campbell also turned down.

He'll fit the Pulis work ethic and he'll weigh-in with a few goals too - just as he did with us, however, I have a feeling that the goals will be too few and far between.
Head to head ... Campbell and Le Fondre in the Premier League... my money would always be on Le Fondre to come out on top. Bearing in mind that ALF will probably be our third choice striker behind Guerra and Macheda, it becomes clear to see that we've moved on rather nicely.

So, good luck Fraizer and thanks for your 100% effort you always gave us!

I can't see him scoring more than 10 goals. I think he over-achieved with us last season and that was in a season where he didn't really suffer any injuries like he usually does. Glad he's gone if I am honest. He didn't want to be here so we are better off without.

Fraizer Campbell: Crystal Palace sign Cardiff striker

Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell has joined Crystal Palace.
The London side triggered the forward's release clause, believed to be around £900,000, along with Premier League rivals Leicester City.
However, Campbell, 26, has decided to join the Eagles and bring to an end an 18-month stint in south Wales.
The fee for the one-time England international, who scored nine goals as Cardiff were relegated last season, could rise to close to £1m.
Palace have so far been quiet in the transfer market following their impressive return to the Premier League last season, with Blackpool goalkeeper Chris Kettings the only permanent arrival.
Newly-promoted Leicester are looking to bolster their strike force ahead of their return to the top flight, and have already secured Brighton forward Leonardo Ulloa for £8m.

Campbell has turned down a move to Leicester in order to link up with Tony Pulis after Palace triggered Campbell's £800,000 release clause

Fraizer Campbell has completed his move away from Cardiff City after agreeing terms with Crystal Palace.

Campbell turned down a move to Leicester in order to link up with Tony Pulis after Palace triggered the player's £800,000 release clause. That fee is expected to rise to £1m with add-ons.

The striker, who bagged six Premier League goals last season, has been keen on an immediate move back to Premier League following Cardiff's relegation.

Campbell was left at home while his Bluebirds team mates toured Austria this week, and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been resigned to losing him.

The news comes just days after captain Steven Caulker, also left off the Austrian tour, completed his move to Queens Park Rangers .

Palace sign Fraizer Campbell despite Sunderland's late attempt to sign him.

Thursday 24th July 2014

Crystal Palace completed a deal for striker Fraizer Campbell from Cardiff City.

Reports from the BBC and from Welsh media say the deal has been done after completing a medical and the fee could raise to £1m.

Campbell scored nine goals last season and has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs in recent weeks.

It is believed that former club Sunderland lodged a late bid for Campbell but the 27-year-old has opted for Selhurst Park.

It is not known whether the player will fly out to meet his new team-mates in the USA on their pre-season tour or join them next week ahead of a game against Brentford.

Following the signing of Chris Kettings, Campbell looks set to become Tony Pulis' second capture of the summer.

Would love it if we go up and Palace come down...! What's he going to do then, no doubt he's got another release clause in his contract...Modern footballers, no loyalty!

he gave it a good go when he was here, he just didnt get the service, and lacked real killer instinct which is what you need in a team that gives you one or two chances a game. not everyone has the finishing ability of a michael owen or alan shearer.

i hope he gets 10+ goals next season but i can't see it happening for the above reason, plus i can't see him playing week in week out :ayatollah:

I wish him luck, he did his best with a non exsistant service, although he did miss a few sitters.
Shame we didnt get a decent price though.

Don't think I wanna wish him luck.

Disgusted isn't the word with our club, board dealing with them after spygate, ashamed.. embarrassed.

When you think this club couldn't push you then they do this.

After the spygate, I can't believe we can all be hush hush and deal with them.

I am genuine in this, I don't think I will renew next season. Shameful by us to allow him to go there. :x

New Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell is the man to get the Eagles flying insists Tony Pulis

The Palace boss hopes the £800,000 striker will score the goals which were lacking last season - despite their 11th place finish

Tony Pulis hopes Crystal Palace new boy Fraizer Campbell is the answer to their goal-scoring worries.

Palace ended their striker search by signing Campbell, 26, from Cardiff in a £800,000 deal.

And the south Londoners are relying on the former Manchester United frontman to take the strain.

Palace were among the Premier League’s lowest scorers last season – despite their respectable 11th place finish.

Eagles boss Pulis said: “We need goals and people who can put the ball in the back of the net.

“It’s an area we need to improve so we’re pleased to sign Fraizer. He’s got a good attitude and works hard. He will blend in well with the rest of the group.”

Campbell follows striker Marouane Chamakh, now on a permanent deal, and free agent goalkeeper Chris Kettings into Selhurst Park this summer.

Now Pulis wants to add Marseille winger Morgan Amalfitano and Tottenham’s German youngster Lewis Holtby.

Stoke midfielder Steven Nzonzi is another target.

which is fine, a bit strange to threaten to stop going given that the club had no option but to sell at a certain price to whichever club offered it, but i suspect you have other reasons for coming to such a decision!

No I just find it disgusting why we dealt with this club with everything that happened regarding the fixture in April.
