Which one would be the biggest loss ?

Mon Jul 21, 2014 5:22 pm

Out of David Marshall, Steven Caulker, Gary Medel and Fraizer Campbell, which of these four would be the biggest loss if they left the club this summer.

We know and expect the 3 outfield players will leave but the fact that Marshall received so many plaudits last season and there is interest from Premier League clubs I feel he would be the biggest loss to us.

And if Marshall is sold, would you be confident of a successful season should Simon Moore or Joe Lewis step into the breach ?

I would say Marshall,
Followed by Medel, Caulker and Campbell.
I think we will miss Campbell but the defence is my concern

I would say Marshy for sure. We could replace Medel and Caulker with ease.

Marshall without a doubt but I also wouldnt begrudge him a move to the prem. If he was to leave I would want a replacement.

Caulker I wouldn't mind staying but im happy for him to go at 8m.

Medel and Campbell im happy to move on.

Marshall. Would be nearly impossible to replace with a like for like..

Marshy by a country mile and what's more, he cares about our club, the other three are just mercaneries.

Marshall because we know he is staying and we know the others are on their way.....

In order though Marshall, Medel, caulker and can't remember the other one that can't score ?

Medel for me. With the amount of money we could get for Marshall we could go and by a new quality keeper and Jose Fonte. Plus we have Joe Lewis who isn't a bad keeper himself.

Medel is a top quality player who plays an important role, and would probably the best player in the championship.

Marshall , I'd be pretty gutted if we lost him.

Massive loss... But business wise if someone's willing to pay the premium, then i think the club would be foolish to reject it.

Hope he stays though. :bluescarf:

Marshall. Will be the best goalkeeper by far in the championship. Invaluable.

A very popular and respected player, by the other players, fans, media especially Gary Lineker, almost everyone, should he be captain, he certainly has a great view of the game' and what's going on ????

David Marshall, no doubt. He's earned us more points than the other three together. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Definetly deserves being captain. First name on the team sheet, respected and super loyal to the club. Natural choice in my opinion.

Not for me, I don't think a goalkeeper can influence a game as captain.

For me its got to be Marshall.

I like Fraizer but if he went we have Strikers who will score a bagful this season. If Medel went I'd be disappointed but I would hope that we are not going to be playing with a DM this season anyway. If Caulker left we can replace him.

Marshall on the other hand. I dont think we have had a goalkeeper of his class down here for about 20 years+. People suggest £10m is the mark. I have a different view. His market value might be £8-10m but his value to Cardiff City - given that promotion is worth £90m - I would suggest to us he has to be worth £20m to us easily. He could be the difference between finishing first and third.

marshall's not going how many times, he's happy here and has signed a new contract, no club wants to pay over 8m for a 29 year old keeper who finished bottom in the prem

Marshall by a mile and it looks like he's staying anyway. :ayatollah:

We have a good strike-force now with Le Fondre, Macheda and Guerra, we'll do fine without Campbell.
Caulker is a great player but he won't be a huge loss, we all expected him to leave anyway and we'll be getting our money back.
Medel was overpriced and overrated in the Premier League, he won't be a big loss.

I would see players such as Noone and Mutch as much bigger losses than the 3 players above.
