Craig Noone out of first game of the season!

Monday 21st July 2014.

Its been confirmed noones now going to be definately out of the first game of the season so i hope we really do go for a winger now as i think we will be lacking with noone out for quite a while.


Also been confirmed that ole went to watch the stoke game because mama diouf and norweigan midfielder havard nordeveit are close family friends and ole wasn't there to watch jack butland, ryan shotton or andy wilkinson as rumors suggested

I'd expect him to be out all of August. I'd rather see him rest up for a few games rather than come back too early and make the injury worse

yeah wasnt a guaranteed time but ole just done a small interview and terry phillips is out there and tweeted will 100% miss first game

Do you think Noone should have had an op in May when our medical team knew of severity ?

If he is going to be out for another month why not have op now if needed ?

He will be key for our season , it would be a crime to wait until August for him to break down again and then have op if needed ?

if they did know how bad it was they should of dealt with it before july and should of had his op early as poss...

the thing is if he has a op now he might be out for a couple of months and another month to get him fit as hes missed all of pre season so we might not see him until october ish time.

there fore we should be getting a winger in to replace him even if we can get one on loan

This is why we need a strong squad. Noone should gave had an operation unless he had bad medical advice or he may have been alright then aggregated it further who knows.

I think the fact its come back shows it is worse than first thought - guess medical team know what they are doing but already ruling him out 3 weeks in advance says it all

With Kim, Burgstaller, Dæhli, Maynard, Mason, Whitts and Macheda able to play out wide I'm not sure a winger is vital although would be beneficial if he's not out for that long.

True - so frustrating for the player

So the second game he will be back?

He must be totally cheesed off. I agree that it is better to give him time to fully recover before bringing him in. If surgery is needed, sooner the better. It's a long season so plenty of scope for him to make a contribution.
