Would you be happy to shake on third place now?
Or you turn it down and go for top two spot?

Turn it down.

Most definitely. VERY strong Championship and maybe Ole would get us across the line with the strength in depth we have

I think its a sensible choice to take a deal.
Personally id rather gamble and go auto spot

3rd might as well be 6th..... with this large highly paid squad.......nope

We have the best squad, so nope..

As long as we go up I don't care.
QPR had by far the best squad last season and had to go to Wembley, people need to accept nothing is certain !!

I would love to go back to Wembley and lay that ghost to rest.
Mon Jul 21, 2014 7:51 am
Yes, I would take 3rd now as I don't believe we will get anywhere near there with Ole in charge.
Mon Jul 21, 2014 7:57 am
Nope. In all honesty, with the side we have, I wouldn't even shake on 2nd.
We are a Premiership side playing in the Championship and the expectation is to go up as Champions.

I'm shocked how everyone seems to be underestimating the Championship. Wolves still had on paper what looked like a squad of Premiership players when they went down and they got relegated again. Who would have thought Burnley would have gone up automatically ahead of QPR? We're in for a tough season and I will be delighted with a playoff place.

No. We are more than capable of making top 6, and dare I say it, anything less than play offs will be a failure in my opinion. Whether we finish 3rd or 6th makes no difference but personally I think we should be getting top 2

You keep repeating that...

I'm amazed at how some fans are underestimating the challenge of the championship. Excluding last season, we've been in it every year for the past 11 seasons (off the top of my head!) and we all know how tough it is and that there's always the "surprise package".
Cardiff will also be the "big scalp" of some clubs too, and that could harm us.
I won't take third place RIGHT NOW, because I think we have a squad capable of better, but at the end of the season, I won't be complaining if we have mad the playoffs.
Automatic promotion has to be the aim, but the playoffs wouldn't be a disaster! Remember the year we went up under Lennie? Everyone thought we would be the champions, yet we scraped in to the playoffs in 6th, but went up by beating QPR. Could be something similar this season.

ask a Chelsea fan or Barca fan the same..............at this level we are comparable in terms of squad and finances being far superior to most other clubs in this division.. so why shouldnt we expect.............ffs DJ got sacked for not finishing top 2, against clubs with parachute payments..
