Bayern Munich season ticket £104.

Sun Jul 20, 2014 1:07 pm

Very impressive. I'm starting to get disheartened by the way clubs are fleecing us fans and will not be buying another season ticket at the Albion so will listen on the radio or live stream if there's a link. Our season tickets have gone up by 3% while our squad have been dismantled.

Why can't clubs think about us fans instead of thinking about profit?

How much do Cardiff charge for season tickets and match day tickets?

It baffles me how German football clubs can charge so little and yet still attract quality footballers and the standered of football is brilliant and probably the best in Europe.

I paid £399 but that's because of the 5 year price freeze. I won't be renewing next year when they go up though. I will have to many outgoings next year.

Have you any idea on what sort of increase the club is likely to raise it by. Our middle tier the 1901 club had the same freeze as you and they have all friendly and cup games included for free but that will end after this season but they did have to pay £500 - £1,000 for their seat plus another £1,000 for their yearly season ticket.

Those fans not on the price freeze, have to pay £529 for the price freeze £399 season tickets!

I didn't know that, I certainly wouldn't have paid that to renew even in the prem. It's just not worth the money anymore.

Please excuse me if I'm sounded rather thick but why pay £529 for the freeze when you can save £128 by purchasing £399 season tickets?

My price freeze season ticket (Upper old Ninian Stand) works out at £17.35 per home game this season, which I think is very good value.

It worked out at £21 per home game last season in the Prem, which is excellent value IMO!

If we stay in the Championship next season and the prices remain the same, a home game will work out at £23, which is what those fans not on the price freeze are paying for this season.

If we go back up to the Prem and the prices remain the same, we'll be paying £27.85 per home game, which some people may think is too much!

It's not when supporting the Albion. Dire football, dire transportation to and from the ground, dire atmosphere, Nazi stewards.

Price freeze season tickets are £399 in the Upper old Ninian Stand.

Those fans who are not on the price freeeze, have to pay £529!

The price freeze relates to an offer (or scam some will say :) ), orchestrated by our old chairman Peter Ridsdale, who offered a 5 year price freeze, should we renew our season tickets by a certain date 4 years ago, when we had no money and the HMRC were chasing us for unpaid tax! :ayatollah:

I expect the loyal fans took that invitation up on the price freeze. Who ever took that option is sitting pretty and those who choose not to are probably kicking themselves. Hindsight is a wonderful thing :bluescarf:

Judging by the photos you posted in another thread, I'd say you'd have been first to buy the tickets for Ladyboys of Bangkok!

No, I thought you said that you were going to get tickets last year to see them! Perhaps I got you mixed up with another poster?

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness on charging their fans £104 for a season ticket!

Been thinking about this story some more and realised I'd seen it publicised earlier this year!

There's an interesting piece in the following link, where Bayern have also threatened to ban season ticket holders who don't turn up for more than 8 games, which is certainly a problem we have at Cardiff as well, where the Family Stand in particular, can be noticeably bare on match days. With the amount of time Annis appears to be posting from Santa Ponsa on here, perhaps he'd better watch out if our club adopt the same policy! :)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... tches.html

I know that some newspapers aren't popular on here, but there's another interesting article in the Daily Mirror going back to March, where they highlight the difference between Bayern's prices and Arsenal's!

It also mentions that Bayern fans get free rail travel with their tickets as well!

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... et-1752700

I forgot to mention earlier during the day, but whilst Uli Hoeness doesn't believe in "Milking" the Bayern fans, he's not so concerned with "Milking" the state! :)

I feel sorry for Arsenal fans, all that money yet they hard win anything. I think if they SPENT, some of that money to try and win most fans wouldn't be so disgruntled. Of course they do not not want to pay, cause they loose there seat.

Since moving up here, I;ve become a Hibs season ticket holder.

We were relegated at the end of the season after a disastarous post christmas campaign seeing us win only 1 game since 5th january!

Season ticket prices for the Scottish Championship playing the likes of Alloa, Cowdenbeath etc have remained the same at £405!! Thats right £405 for the scottish championship. Mental prices.

The new boss lady held a meeting with fans who said they were happy for the price to remain at 405 providing the extra money was spent on players to get us back up. Problem was she only asked season ticket holders who had renewed before relegation.

Cant say i'll be renewing mine at that price!! Crazy.
