A forum for all things Cardiff City

Everybody knows that Emile Heskey was never going to win the Ballon d’Or, but now that he’s been released from Australian side Newcastle Jets, who should the now free agent apply his unique skillset with? Here we look at teams that could take on the 35-year old Englishman....
Cardiff
An option for Heskey could be newly-relegated side Cardiff City as they bid to bounce straight back up into the Premier League. With main striker Fraizer Campbell looking to be moving to Crystal Palace this summer, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might look to the former Leicester man to score a few goals a season for him.
Leicester
One of the most favoured destinations for Heskey could be moving back to his hometown and first club Leicester City. The newly-promoted side needs to strengthen their squad going into their first Premier League season in over 10 years, and a new striker is needed.
So, who better to help keep them up than a former player who made his name with the club and has bags of Premier League experience?
Leeds
Championship side Leeds are in the market for a goal threat, with the league’s top scorer, Ross McCormack, leaving for Fulham. Heskey could give them a possible extra dimension with his strength, ball-holding skills and all round intimidation techniques. Maybe he would give them a chance for promotion next season.
Blackpool
The North-west club are encountering real problems in terms of players, having only eight signed on for next season so far. So, many summer transfers are needed and one of these should be Heskey, who will want to prove himself once again after returning from Australia.

Would have taken Heskey when he first went to the Jets but he's surely passed it now.

He should just retire.

If he can play in goal then Blackpool must be a realistic option?
