Young support down west. :-)

We are on holiday in Pembrokeshire at the moment and ventured into Tenby today. I was struck by the number of youngsters wearing Cardiff City tops. There were by far more of these than any other club colours. I can't believe that there are more tourists from the Cardiff area than anywhere else so it seems to suggest that the young people who after all will inherit the club eventually are interested in CCFC and this is 'closed season' for football.

I'm off down there for a week in August, shall wear my blue City top one day down there. Although I'm a bit past the young support stage.

I'm from the West and young-ish (19 haha) and I've seen an increase in City fans in the last couple of years.

No, I wish!! It fantastic. I'm in shares on a static caravan. Time down here is precious. I love the city but it's nice to wind down. Different pace of life.

Pity the good citizens of Cardiff did'nt follow suit because i was sick of seeing Man u and Liverpool tops today , especially Liverpool , S.Wales must have the biggest Liverpool support outside of Merseyside.

I'm down in Kiln park next week and me and my boy will be in the blue of cardiff

I'll be blue in Cornwall tomorrow, got retro fa cup final long sleeved 1927 and various blue tops for in the day. Flying he blue flag wherever we may be

Been living just outside Tenby for 12 years. First there was more Cardiff than Swansea, but no where near the utd, Liverpools etc.. When swansea got promoted, it went nuts down here with white tops. But since our final against Blackpool at wembley, it has evened up Cardiff, Swansea. And the other tops are slowly disappearing.

I'll be in the havens next week. Never seen a jack there in my lifetime....

I really would expect there to be few Swans tops in Pembroke to be honest Al, as it's nowhere near Swansea. Or are you trying to say there are loads of Cardiff shirts? If not, bit of a nothing story really isn't it? .......A bit like most of your posts to be frank about it!

I grew up in tenby and there is loads of bluebirds down here and all cardiff I know their kids support cardiff as well.but my boys play football for tenby and there is more Liverpool or man utd than anything else .But what did piss me off was that swansea are doing a lot of promotion with the schools and my boy was force to wear a swansea top for the schools kit for a tournament. He loves playing footy but hates swansea .I think it's wrong that they are forced to wear a top of there rivals but the 1st thing he did was cover the badge and front with mud

Judging by my comments Al it's quite clear I read the whole thread not just your posts!

Was also a load in porthcawl yesterday in the carnival everywere you turned there was a city top
Unfortunately 3or4 were red rest was blue

Last time I went to Porthcawl there seemed to be a 50/50 split, good to not see the big teams shorts down there
