Not shocked, paying a non league striker 35k then get to the Prem take him up to 42k.

Be interesting to what their gonna pay Campbell.

If we were bad with wages, they are something else.

Been mugged off by players not coming etc but Ole's approach to this with players who are likely to go, good on him.

Leicester City set to sign Cardiff City striker

Leicester City are set to sign Crystal Palace target Fraizer Campbell from Cardiff City.

It is understood that the Cardiff City forward is set to have a medical at the club this weekend after Leicester City upped their package for the forward. It was initially thought that the Foxes had missed out on the former Manchester United striker and Crystal Palace looked set to snare Campbell, however it now looks like City have got their man.

Leicester balked at the strikers initial £40,000 per week demands however according to the Daily Mail City have put together a more attractive package which now appears to be enough to entice the 26-year old to sign on the dotted line.

City are now expected to complete the signings of Campbell and Brighton and Hove Albion forward Leonardo Ulloa within the next few days.

Leicester apparently gave in to Campbell's wage demands of £40,000 a week, plus bonuses.

He's not worth that. Works hard with little result. Think we have better so not bothered that he didn't fancy fighting for his place. Just Mr Jones to ship out now :bluescarf:

Apparently Tony Pulis is fuming as he thought Campbell was set to sign for Palace after agreeing terms.

Would prefer to keep him, but am glad he is not going to Palarse. One minute we are complaining to the FA, next we are possibly selling Caulker and Campbell to them. Appreciate with release clauses he might not have much choice, but Moody would have negotiated the contracts, and is now trying to take advantage of us again. I like Pullis, but wouldn't do business with Moody out of principle.

Earn a fortune, run around a lot, not score many goals, miss plenty of chances, then look for another desperate Premier League club when they go down, we are better off without him

never ceases to amaze me the sheer disrespect some 'fans' show players upon leaving this club.

he scored goals that helped us to promotion, yes he didnt replicate that last season, but thats because he isn't top class, but that isn't his fault. i wish him all the best :ayatollah:

I wish him well, he is well within his rights to get as much money as possible, who wouldn't.

We gave him the stupid release clause for a stupid amount. I wish him well, he gave it his all.

I agree with this.
Who wouldn't want to play at the highest level they could & earn as much money as they could?
Didn't hear the moaners on here complain when he notched 2 against Man City at home & the stadium went ballistic or perhaps they weren't even there.

Of course not nor was I.
The point being though as the other guy said he's not top class but done his best for us & should be respected because of it.

i think people do respect him for giving 100%, the problem he has is he doesn't seem to have any loyalty what so ever to the club or the fans he just want's out of cardiff as soon as possible :bluescarf:

Money aside, the boy came in and took us over the line.. provided the threat we missed due to Maynard getting injured.

Crikey how embarrassing for him would that be. He'd come back here or resurrect his deal with palace? Surely not.......
