they have an obsession with trying to get good players from fallen teams.

As a Palace Fan no offence but I dont really want him

I dont see him fitting in our system as a target man and If we are to use a smaller striker then we have dwight Gayle who cost 6.5m and was our top scorer last season.

He's certainly not a target man. When Malky played him up front on his own last season he struggled badly when trying to bring others into play.

His first touch is poor and he's one of those players who need a few chances before scoring. Prolific at Championship level but never going to get more than about 10 goals per season in the Premier League.

One of those strikers who is too good for the Championship but not good enough for the Premier League. Others in the same boat would be David Nugent and our very own Earnie.

He'll get you a few goals but he's not as good as he thinks he is.

Sorry - meant to add that what he will give you is maximum effort every game he plays.

A workhorse, but not a premier league striker by any means. Good riddance to players who feel no loyalty to the club or want to leave

Not sure why people are saying he's crap he's far from crap.. is a premier league player? Not quite. Would he smash the championship playing a full season yes.

He's worth 800k definitely but as we have so many strikers it's not a massive loss

Fickle fans.

I'll think he'll do ok for us IF he signs. Only 800k so it's definitely worth a gamble.

good luck FC. Been a decent signing and would have been good in the championship. Not sure about the premiership but then again, hard to judge as we were crap generally. Hardly anyone came out with any brownie points

We paid £600k odd for him and worth every penny - £600k is a bargain these days.

Hard worker and gave his all.

Palace may struggle again this season so he'll have another tough ask.

People forget he was the reason we went up, to me he was the reason we got over the line in some games.
