cottish defender links up with Wanderers for 2014-15 season

City can confirm that long-serving full-back Kevin McNaughton has joined Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.

It’s a move that will see the Scottish defender return to the Reebok Stadium once more having previously spent a three month loan stay with Wanderers last season. It was a spell that saw him make thirteen appearances, scoring one goal during his initial spell with Dougie Freedman’s squad.

Kevin returned to South Wales and the first-team fold for City’s New Year’s day clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, before going on to make a further seven appearances for the club during their 2013-14 Barclays Premier League campaign - his seventh season with the Bluebirds having joined from Aberdeen in 2006.

We wish Kevin the best of luck during his loan stay at Reebok Stadium.

If we do want Young that deal should have been done to give us leverage. Kev is a fine player at this level and a loss to the squad.

Same fans who will moan about him going are the ones that want to see Brayford given a chance

The two aren't mutually exclusive. I want to see Brayford first on the team sheet, but I also want Kev to stay as he is great cover, especially as he can play all along the back four.

But then we also have Fabio

And I doubt anyone will take KTC off us, we can't keep them all. Kev was probably the easiest to move on.

Agreed and I think Fabio will shine in the championship
