Cardiff City and Brentford interested in Manchester United midfielder
BY SAM ROURKE ⋅ WEDNESDAY JULY 16, 2014 ⋅
Cardiff City and Brentford are interested in making a loan move for Manchester United midfielder Davide Petrucci, according to FLW sources.
Petrucci is a target for Cardiff and Brentford
Petrucci, 22, is an Italian midfielder who joined the Old Trafford club in 2008 from Serie A side Roma.
The midfielder has made no appearances for the United first-team and has spent most of his time shipped out on-loan to numerous clubs.
Petrucci has had experience of playing in the Football League, as he made four appearances for Peterborough United in 2013 in a loan move, and then made five appearances for Charlton Athletic last season.
Manchester United are willing to let the Italian leave on loan this season, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Cardiff City and Mark Warburton’s Brentford are eager to bring the Italian in to their squads.

Please no more utd reserves or rejects. If he was any good he would av made an impact already...

Can't really say that, just because he hasn't played for United it doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good championship player.
Mind the thought doesn't excited me but it may not even be true.

Was highly rated at Roma and united as a youngster but had a lot of injuries and his career has stagnated.
Ole managed him at united reserves with Macheda and eikrem. I am guessing that's how this story came about.

Yeah if you can't make an impact at United, Cardiff is a level too high for you.

I'd have a good wedge on United reserves getting a top six spot in the championship-what are you smoking pal

He's been with utd for almost 6 yrs and not made a single appearance, had two loan spells in the championship with Peterboro and charlton..
I'm pretty sure that if he really has a little bit of quality it would av shown by now....

Zaha signed from first team football and spent it on loan with us...
Petrucci has come through Roma's academy...
Difference there. Zaha has barely been at United whilst Petrucci has been there for years and he's only played 11 games in the Championship in two different spells.
Daehli is a former United talent and he's one of the best in our squad.
So put your ignorant crystal ball away. If there is truth in this story, Solskjaer managed him in the reserves so knows his capabilities. You don't.
Jesus Christ there are some silly posts on here.

Nothing silly about it all...
Personal opinion fella.... This forum starting to f**k me off that you can't seem to Be able to voice your own thoughts without being called something. Supposed to be what makes a forum and to have discussion not abuse...
My OPINION whether right or wrong in your eyes is that at 22 he should already be hitting good form, if he was any good by now he would be regularly playing from someone...
We have a tough long season and in my opinion we need proven players not reserves and trialists of clubs...

Never mind midfielders. A decent left back. Centre back and winger is what's needed. No where near enough cover in those positions.

Should be going after Tom Lawrence on loan
Quality player & Welsh that can benefit the national side instead of yet another foreigner.

Midfielders aren't expected to hit their best form till 27-30...
We have enough 'proven' midfielders and we need strength in depth and young, energetic players.

Not sure what to make of this story.
This lad had a lot of injuries that's why he never had a chance.
Also he is a cam, Tom Lawrence is a striker, don't think cardiff need more strikers at the moment.
