Is workhorse an essential trait.

Now it looks almost certain that Frazer is leaving our club. But should we really be that worried?
Personally I love the guy. Scoring the winner against leeds and his performance against man city are my fondest memories of him.
I keep reading that he gives his all every game. But was that enough? well no it wasn't...we got relegated. Yes yes he didn't have the service but come on we weren't that bad. And a player up top has more of an effect on the flow of play than is given credit for.
I wonder if movement , agility, space finding and the ability to read the game would have given us more goals? especially from a team that was getting 1 or 2 chances a game. I'm thinking mason may have been that man???
In my opinion we have a like for like swap for him in Le fondre. who arguably is not going to get a starting place.
I think we are finding it so hard to let him go because we love him, The best example of this is gunnarson. Loved by the fans cus he gives his all, but was a spectator for the most part last year. I see that happening for cambell next year if he stays. Especially hearing this "special relationship" brewing between our italian and spanish pair.

Role on a striker being our top scorer!!! :bluescarf: :ole: :ayatollah:

So we wernt that bad, but finished bottom, he's going back to he Prem but not good enough.

How do you not create a space time anomaly with that many paradoxes in one post?

Fraizer isn't a lone striker (at least not in the Prem) he needs a strong midfield and another similar striker to link up with. His best games with us were in the Championship with Bellamy and him up front. In this league he'd be fine and get plenty of goals his record in the championship speaks for itself.

That said Ole has done well to bring more gols into the team, although Guerra and Macheda are still more potential than actual so there is a certain amount of risk involved.

I loved his work ethic last season, and mostly put his lack of goals down to Malky's tactics leaving him isolated and in few scoring positions. But then Ole came in, the team started creating creating chances, and Campbell started missing sitters. It quickly became obvious that it wasn't just Malky's tactics that were the problem - Campbell just isn't a good striker at the top level.

He'd score goals for us in the Championship, but then so would all the strikers Ole has brought in, and I'd fancy them scoring us more goals than Campbell if we end up back in the top flight, so personally I see no point holding on to him.

seriously mate.......he had a season of chasing lost causes, the movement was there but the ball never came. who in our midfield has a footballing brain and was capable of a defence splitting pass?
have to say if i was him id be thinking hard about ,do i want another season of that,or maybe step down a league and score some goals.........

How many goals did Javi guerra score last season in la liga?
Didn't his team get relegated? Dont think you can make that many excuses for Frazier. Great work ethic but lacks goal scoring ability.

Are we still playing in the Premiership the ?

He got a goal every 115mims last time he was in the championship and that was when unfit and in a Malky team that played defensive football.

Totally disagree. Whitts and Daehli have great football brains they are very intelligent players.Mutch is not bad either. Eikrem is a dark horse, very similar skills to whitts. Kim is another dark horse potenti to do so much better.Think the strikers this season will get lots of service.
