What a sad state of affairs

At Blackpool

Ian Holloway left, since then 27 players have left since the end of last season, had to cancel pre season tour as Blackpool could not get a full side together.

Blackpool have cancelled their pre-season tour to Spain as they have just eight players and no goalkeeper available

Where next for them?

Yeah i saw the protests at the end of last season with the balls being thrown on the pitch and the chants, they are in dissaray.

Bad times indeed.

Are they going to be able to start the season? Free transfers they've had months to get and it seems unlikely they'll pay fees.

f**k em mind, worst day in my supporting career that and I remember their fans taunting kids on the way out.

Ah well, at least they have their 'identity'.

......right?

the worst defeat ever for me that was. Don't hate Blackpool for beating us though. We scored first and then bottled it. We should of controlled that game going up 1-0 :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I wonder if the Paul Ince factor has anything to do with any of that? Makes you wonder if both Inces caused a divide in the changing room.

Dislike the club and it's supporters.
That being said I feel for them because imagine how we would be feeling?
The club is your love your life, you don't want to see the ones you love hurting.

The Owner is a class a c**t.

He is not suffering though.

They were discussing this on TalkSport yesterday and it turns out that Blackpool only have 6 players, so unless things have changed since I played football, where you need 7 players to start a match, they haven't even got enough players to be able to start any matches!

Re: What a sad state of affairs

They are the epitome of a club that got too big for its boots. Holloway was the face of that. They are no more than a League 1 team and will be back where they belong. I know a few lads from Blackpool and they don't like the whole culture surrounding the club. They either support Fleetwood or just follow rugby instead.

I never want to see a club go out of business but I wouldn't give a shit if Blackpool plummeted down the leagues.

As a post above has already commented. Probably the worst I've felt at a football match after losing the play off final against Blackpool. I've been supporting since late 80's but never expected anything in those days. Don't like the club or their fans and Blackpool is an absolute shith0le. Let them drop

No sympathy, I'm actually happy to see them in such a position.

Would they give us any sympathy? I dont think so. Horrible little club.

Would swap positions with Blackpool all day long. I said at the time when Pompey were in disarray that I would gladly swap positions with them. They still have their loyal fan base and they are only two divisions below us with their identity and colours still in tact. Success at any cost for most of us though. :(

Michael Chopra hits out at Blackpool

By Paul Gorst, Reporter
Filed: Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 22:56 UK
Former Blackpool striker Michael Chopra has hit out at the club after they were forced to cancel their pre-season tour of Spain.

The Seasiders pulled out of the planned trip on Tuesday due to a lack of players in their squad, and Chopra, who was released by the club earlier this summer, took to Twitter to criticise his old team.

He tweeted: "Wash ur own kit clean ur own boots and even bring ur own water to training can only happen at Blackpool".

The Tangerines currently only have eight players registered, with no goalkeepers.

yes, I'm sure the one thing they despise more than washing their own jerseys and not being able to field a team is playing in a different-colour kit.

I wouldn't like to be in their position, if anything same as us in a way.
