After it was revealed Craig Noone has suffered an injury setback in pre-season traininig, the star has been speaking about his frustration on social media.

Cardiff City wideman Craig Noone has opened up of the devastation of the recurrence of his groin injury this summer.

After the winger missed Saturday's trip to Bath City, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted Noone is suffering with the same injury that kept him out at the end of last season.

Accepting that the popular winger might need surgery, Solskjaer said: "Nooney's having another test on his groin again. He's not been training since the Carmarthen Town game.

"It might be something that he'll have to do something with at some point. He needs to work on his groins because he had the trouble last March. He's worked on it over the summer and now the problem is back, so we'll have to look into it."


After we reported that Noone has suffered the injury again, the star took to Twitter to express his disappointment.

He said: "Gutted I've picked up an injury, I've worked hard during the summer to come back in good shape, fit and raring to go. Then to get injured was a big blow and I've been down about it.


"But I'm going to be positive and look forward to getting back out there. Thanks for the well wishes and I can assure the Cardiff fans I'll be working hard during my rehab to get fit and ready to go ASAP!"
