Best Home & Away fans pubs.....?

Mon Jul 14, 2014 11:56 am

Hi Guys,

I am compiling a new fans guide for the coming season and am after real fans views of which are the best pubs on match days for both home fans & visiting supporters.

Which are the "main pubs" for home fans around the ground..?

Can you let me know the best 5 or so around the ground please and any local establishments that particularly cater for and welcome visiting supporters - pubs, restaurants, parking facilities attractions etc.

Also, any suggestions of pubs that you have visited at other away grounds which are good for away supporters on match days would be great.

Many thanks

Rob

We're lucky to have a fair few home pubs to choose from the ones below all do good business on matchdays,

The Cornwall, Grangetown
The Kings Castle,
Admiral Napier,
Ivor Davies,
Canton Cross Vaults,
The Sports Bar,
The corporation,
Canton Hotel,
Mavericks.

Id say the best place for away fans to drink is in the City Centre. Im sure most City fans drink in Canton, so away fans should have the pubs to themselves in the City Centre, if they are looking to mingle with the home fans, The Corporation, Canton Hotel and Mavericks are probably your must welcoming. :thumbright: :bluescarf:

Plenty of us drink in town on match days, The Borough, The Vaults, The prince of Wales and Kiwis are usually very busy with city fans. As said, away fans are better off staying in town and can find loads of places to drink there.

I have not been in there for a while but lots of city fans used to drink in Canton rugby club. For away fans who want parking there is the Gol center which would be ok for away fans used to be £4 to park with a free drinks voucher.I cant stand plastic glasses so tend to drink in town at the Borough.

The Arkles in Liverpool is a good pub, when we played up there in the carling cup in 2007 we ended up staying in there after the game until one in the morning. The Prince George near Palace's ground has been a good pub over the years.
