Whats happening with our 3 galactic superstars

Mon Jul 14, 2014 8:06 am

Well I suppose Medel is near enough a world beater, Not far off team of the tournament!
These other two prima's are they off or what?

Seems to be taking hell of a long time, Campbell is cheap as chips his unreasonable wage demands would still only make him a 2.5 million investment which isn't alot for a premiership transfer. I'd let him go on a free transfer personally and buy him out
really winds me up.

Caulker I thought was done dusted but I see it's still not finalised?

With Medel it's geuninely a hold up because the clubs can't agree ob fee.
With Chaulker and Campbell in particular the hold up is over player wages. Hope it all gets sorted ASAP.

Why is Campbell pricing himself out of a move away winding you up? I will be delighted if Campbell is still a City player next season! I would be surprised if we manage to keep one of them to be honest though.

Tonteg I just don't think it's good for our club having him here he want's away from here. andi personally don't think he has proven himself to be worth a staggering amount of wages.

He is an attractive player on the ball fast slick, but he just doesn't put them away and what we could be getting in assists and goals from other strikers in my opinion had a negative impact on our points tally.

2 assists more and 2 goals more in a season could of potentially been 8 points

I am a big admirer of Campbell because of his work rate and although he didn't score much last season, what service did he get? Campbell did miss a few chances, but I don't think his finishing was as bad as people made out and with the amount of running he had to do in a struggling team, it was inevitable he would fluff a few chances because he ran himself into the ground and was too fatigued to convert those chances.

However, in the Championship I think Campbell could potentially destroy the division. Look at his goals per game ratio when we went up. Campbell wasn't even fully fit when he joined us either. If Campbell has chances created for him he will be much more likely to convert them in the Championship, simply because he won't have to do so much running and defending so he will be fresher to convert them. That's just my opinion of course.

I feel like you are missing the point.
Campbell is wanted but seems he wants to make use of his relegation clause. The move then stalls because of wage demands.
Bottom line is even players -Ben turner- say its time for certain players to make up their mind. It's not good for morale if there are players around that aren't focused on Cardiff. You can't argue with that.
In Spain guerra was known to put in a shift for the team. Hopefully he can do a good job at Cardiff too.

Part of me understands them wanting to get away to further careers etc.

But another bit feels they should show some integrity, realise they were part of the reason we were relegated and fight to get us back up. Fuckin soul less mercenaries.

Can you guess which bit i feel most?

At the moment I would say it is ALL about the money for Campbell. 18 months ago his career was faltering he came to us and increased his stock and at 27 is looking for perhaps a last decent move. He won't play for a top six team or England so anyone willing to pay forty k over three years will do. I like him as a player but wouldn't be surprised if he played for another 5 or 6 teams over the next few years.

My personal opinions are He thinks he's bigger than the smaller clubs he plays for.
Number 2 he has no desire or loyalty to the club he just wants to play for a big side and is only interested in his own career.

He always puts in a big performance when he knows people are watching like he's hoping for a move or recognition. he scored v man city, man utd and he's got a track record of performing in meanful games or ones that will be watched.

The rest of the time last season he scored very little

i like campbell but will always remember the absolute sitter he missed v palace when the score was 0-0, Could have been a totally different game

Not that it would have made a difference to the season as a whole of course, but i just dont think he is good enough for the prem.

Now, as a championship club, park of me wants him to stay because he will certainly score goals here, but the wages he is apparently on are far to high for a player of his quality, and i think we have enough strikers who will score goals in this division.
