World Cup Final

As a neutral I thought it was quite good as finals can be a bit of a damp squib. The first half was better than the second, but extra time was excellent. I didn't care who won until Aguero caught Schweinsteiger with a cheap shot, after which I wanted Germany to win. The best team overall won.

Thought it was a fantastic tournament and the Brazilians should be applauded for hosting it.

How messi got player of the tournament is beyond me though.

Brilliant 0-0, feel a little for Argentina, they're passion and overall performance tonight deserved more I think. Germany are a class act mind, a complete team and for me the best team in the world, you could see it in the Euros 2 years ago and they've stepped it up a notch in this tournament.

Im a massive fan of Messi, the way he plays the game is what football is all about but he doesn't deserve to win Golden Ball Award, don't get me wrong he's had a good tournament, dragged them through the group stages and produced bits of brilliance throughout but I think there were more worthy winners, Rodriguez, Muller and Kroos to name a few.

All in all, top tournament, quality wasn't always great but entertainment wise it's been first class. Roll on August 8th.
