Inter are not letting go of Cardiff City and Chile defender Gary Medel, raising their option to €7m.
The Nerazzurri have been captivated by Medel’s World Cup performances and want him to help lead the new-look defence this season.
Medel also told sources he is determined to quit Cardiff for San Siro over the summer.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter are raising their offer to a loan deal with option to buy worth €7m (£6.4m).
However, that is still below Cardiff’s asking price of a €10m option (£8m).
Walter Mazzarri and his club hope Medel can put pressure on Cardiff to accept these terms.

They still seem to be talking option to buy and a loan.
Are we now considering this or are they just not listening.

Inter Milan trying to loan a Championship player

just stump up the £8m and you got him!

But he was one of the best players in the World Cup.
Surely there must be loads of top clubs fighting it out to sign him! He's world class apparently.
And one of the biggest clubs in Italy want one of the best players in the world and they only want to pay about £5m for him?
How does that work?
Nice to hear that Gary is determined to get a move there this summer - I hope we are as determined to get as much as we possibly can for the mercenary and if an offer does not come in for at least what we paid for him then if I were Tan, I'd stick him on the bench for a season or two.

Is there much money in the Italian game nowadays?
It was THE league in Europe in years gone by but the Spanish and German leagues are the place to be and the Prem is always full of cash.
