Cardiff City: Craig Noone injury concerns Solskjaer

Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Craig Noone is likely to undergo further tests on a long-standing groin injury.
The 26-year-old winger missed Cardiff's friendly with Bath City on Saturday, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Noone missed the tail-end of the 2013-14 season with the injury, and Solskjaer fears he has not recovered.
"It might be something we'll have to do something with at some point," said the Norwegian.

"Noone is having another test on his groin. He wasn't ready [to face Bath] - he's not been training.
"He certainly needs to work on it because he had the problem last March.
"He's worked throughout the summer and it's come back so we'll have to have a look at it."
Noone's form provided a rare ray of light as Cardiff were relegated from the Premier League at the end of their first season in the top flight since the 1962.

However, the injury meant that Solskjaer was rationing the player's first-team appearances even before he was eventually ruled out for the season.

The Bluebirds picked up a further injury concern at Bath's Twerton Park when Kevin Theophile-Catherine limped off 20 minutes from the end, leaving Cardiff to finish the game with 10 men.

And goalkeeper David Marshall missed the friendly because of a slight injury picked up in training.

All the players are likely to travel when Cardiff fly to Austria on Thursday, 17 July for a series of friendly matches.
"We'll carry on their treatment on the tour," added Solskjaer.

Craig Noone is going to be instrumental in Ole style of play. If this is serious then it will be a major blow. I can see a new winger being brought in.

Yes I agree, a key player to our chances of returning to the top division.

The form he hit last season it's a shame! Hopefully he's fit for the start
