David Marshall among strong Cardiff City squad for pre-season friendly at Bath City

Spanish striker Javi Guerra, South African international Kagisho Dikgacoi and Scottish keeper David Marshall are among the Cardiff City players set to visit Twerton Park on Saturday for a pre-season friendly with Bath City (2pm).

The Bluebirds, managed by former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will feature a host of other top names who competed in the Premier League last season.

It is the second of three friendlies for City in the space of five days. They beat Larkhall Athletic 2-0 on Thursday night, while Swansea City are also sending an XI to Twerton Park on Tuesday.

Admission prices for the Cardiff match cost £10 for adults, £5 for over-65s, under-18s and students, while under-16s can enter for just £1.

Turnstiles will be open from 12.30pm and supporters are asked to arrive early to ensure easy access to the ground.





The club colours are a black and white striped shirt with black shorts. we face The Romans in a 2pm kick-off at twerton park, capacity 8,800. tickets can be purchased at the gate priced: £10 adult, £5 concession and £1 under 16

TRAVEL
For those traveling by train the nearest station is is oldfield park. change at bath or temple meads. it is then a short walk to the ground.
travel by road Leave the M4 at Junction 19 and go onto the M32. At the end of the M32 head towards Bath (A4). On nearing Bath take the A36 Lower Bristol Road. After one mile turn right under a Railway Bridge (signposted Bath City FC) and into Twerton High Street. Take the 2nd left for the ground entrance. There is a car park at the ground which holds 150 cars, otherwise street parking.

the forcast is cloudy with sunny intervals. heavy rain is expected from 1700hrs

my last recolection of bath city was watching danny drinkwater charging up the middle, again in a pre-season friendly and a long walk back to bath spa station
