' C Palace complete a Caulker of a Signing '

Fri Jul 11, 2014 8:31 pm

According to Daily Mirror

Friday July 11th 2014

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis is smashing the club's signing record to buy Cardiff centre half Steven Caulker in a £8 million deal.

Pulis has matched the England cap's fixed price - and his money men are going to pay him £42,000-a-week to join.

It is a stunning package and a huge statement by the Eagles who have outbid Harry Redknapp's QPR or the former Tottenham defender.

Caulker spoke to both clubs and the financial deal at Selhurst Park is better - with Pulis also convincing him it is a good career move.

Looks like Campbell is going there too.

Bit sickening really, who'd have thought 9 months ago we'd be losing some of our best players to palace with them a division above us :(

Still, good luck to them and glad it's sorted, I'm looking forward to seeing Cala with Turner and new strikers who might take their chances a bit more regularly.

That is was rattles me.

To think we got the the premier with ease while Palace needed a play off final to join us. Then to think Palace were rooted at the bottom of the premier while we were although struggling were in a lot better position than them. Now look at it all. Some say thats football, yeah right until it happens to them.

Football can be mad.

Failure to score and snatching defeat from the jaws of a draw can
Lose a club millions.

On and off the pitch, we were bottom on merit.

Players moving "up" to teams like Palace is a sickener to say the least.

Palace also had fans who were the 12th man, supporting rather than moaning.
Tan has a load to answer for, but it's the fans than could and should have stuck together
And helped the team in its first premier season.
Players, managers and fuckwits come and go but us fans must stick together
