That's almost like Bury fans saying that they should just join up with Manchester City down the road because they won't be in the Premier League any time soon.
It's a no from me, Wales forever

Jon, if recent proposals are brought back to the table "with financial incentive" you might well see the Bury/Manchester City link occur one day soon! LOL![]()
Not too sure the analogy fits this particular scenario, though. Like it or not (as Scotland are about to find out) we are the United Kingdom and ultimately are deemed one country in the world away from sport![]()
Not having a go, just making a point. I'm as proud a Welshman as any, but a realist on the political front, too

We are just an island!
Logically we should never of ended up being Wales anyway. It should of just been a great britain that is our nationality UK
were smaller than every other big nation as an island let alone individually

I don't... Imo the problem starts at the grassroots, how many home-grown players make it to the top-level? Not many? Well, then find the reasons for that, improve coaching, coaches and the development of the players.
Then, another problem is the Premiership itself. No winterbreak, too many games with all the cups and competitions. Surely great for us fans, but contra-productive for players and their nationalteams. Noticed how many non-English players who play in the Premiership were completely exhausted at the WC?
Last time England failed it was due to the fact that they had non-English coaches, who "couldnt motivate the players, who didnt have the passion for the English game..."![]()
Now its merging the 3 FAs.. only excuses after excuses and what's next? The fact that the footballs are made and supplied by ADIDAS, a German brand? They surely would play much better with footballs made by Umbro...

Depending on quota of how many players were represented from each nation.
Also varying on where games were held. Spain tend to move to all types of grounds for away games which is ideal for every kind of Spanish fan.
