Good to watch going forwards when all players are firing on all cylinders.
Defensively on a Tuesday night in Rotherham it could be a disaster

i do! but not sure can compare them as he had very good team at newcastle compared to us, so whilst phylosophy may be same we will be in a different league so different attitude

Nice to watch especially if you have the players to pull it off but can be suicidle.
Tactically I think ole will be ok in the championship , looking forward to it.

Kamikaze but fun, I would love it if we played like that, love it !!!!

Yes Annis I remember it well, Ardiles was similar in his approach at Spurs too.
I believe the same as you that Ole's tactics could be very similar.
Got to be honest, my first thought is 'bring it on'
It would be exciting but may not be successful.

Swansea played attractive football and got promoted. As did Southampton. There's no reason why we can't do the same

Yep. It can be done. I think we have the players capable of it too.

5-4 to us every game, but we 'bottle' it at the end?? Erm, no thanks! LOL

Going to be exciting, hope we got a good defence

I'm not entirely sure on how fast Burgstaller is but they played with Dyer and Sinclair on the wing I think but I may be mistaken and they played him up front? But I think we have a good blend/mix of flair/skillful players and then players who can do the nitty gritty stuff. If our full-backs are Fabio and Brayford then we could be very attacking but it depends on our CB partnership to be honest, we need calm defenders like Cala who can play it out of the back but then a physical CB.

Swansea were tippy tappy shit, I wouldn't like to see us play like that.....

We've got our old head defensive midfielder from Palace.
If he has a season in him, then it could help us stop shipping goals

Gareth, I expect us to score an abundance of goals

just hope we dont leak to many, my main worry.

True Allan, but if your going to play all out attacking football which I think Ole tries to, which is exciting, you ned a very solid defence and a good midfield as well.

I can remember vividly Newcastle coming down here with Keegan and McDermot in their side and beating us easily. It seemed so easy on the eye and I for one would love the city to adopt that style of play.

Not a fan of Keegan, lost the plot in the end

It's easy on the eye, and awesome when you're the stronger team.
But Keegan found out foe Newcastle and England as soon as you come against a counter attack or possession based team you can get picked off easily.
I think it can work in the championship, but when we go back up we nee to change as we will get ripped apart playing Keegan style.

So keegans style was not possession based? I don't really remember how his teams played.
Ole mentioned Southampton as a team he aspires to play like. Southampton style is very much possession based football.

from my memory keegan was all about fast football 2 wide wingers who could get to the line and put in a cross 2 forwards flying onto it and midfield pushing on. Stretching the pitch and open very big to counters. Need your centre backs to be able to defend 1 on 1.
exciting to watch and loads of goals at both ends. Great when you are the better team, suicide when you are the weaker team, in my opinion

He also brought Fulham up playing good football and scoring lots of goals if that's what we have in store for us then it won't be to bad
