I think you will find Caulker is already on a lot more than this article states, in fact nearly double it :o

QPR set to double defender's wages

Caulker of a deal as Rs edge closer to Cardiff player

QPR are set to double Steven Caulker’s wages and makes doubly sure they capture the £9million central defender.

The Cardiff City player is believed to be on something close to a flat £20,000-a-week in Wales, but with bonuses, the 22-year-old could pocket the same again if he makes the switch to Loftus Road.

Crystal Palace are also reported to be interested in the centre-back who first caught he eye of Rs boss Harry Redknapp when both at Tottenham together.

But Rangers will win the signing war when they trigger the clause in west London born Caulker’s contract that allows him to add to impressive displays where he missed not a single minute in last season's doomed campaign for City.

I bet that is from the London Press.

He plays in Wales so he can only be on £4.20 and all the sheep he can eat or shag.

He's coming to London so now he will be treated properly and be paid like a billionaire.

WOW! :o  :(

Can't blame Caulker if that is the case (he didn't 'rubber stamp' the contract) but maybe explains why things have been 'a bit slow' in his departure

Annis, more and more am I beginning to think Vincent Tan was 'on to something' when he started wielding his axe last year (with both management and his so-called advisors) and can see why he now wants a more hands-on approach to dealings in the transfer market

I quite like the 'Transfer Committee' idea, TBH, as no single person can be saddled with the blame afterwards

I hope it works, as we don't want this kind of thing going on again; although this might just be a sad indictment of 'modern' football and of how 'modern' players/agents are allowed to dictate their terms of employment
