Trying to be realistic

Mon Jul 07, 2014 8:34 am

I haven't posted for a while so I thought I'd create a topic for discussion, with all this talk about us being favourites and that we are going to walk the league, I'm not to sure!! We're Cardiff City we always make things hard for ourselves also the Championship is such a tough league to get out of. it took us 10 years last time.

Although we have added a few new signings which have been very good in my opinion, inevitability we are going to sell a few as well shortly. For me it's going to be another tough season ahead, we definately need a solid start and for the fans to be right behind the team from the off, if we do I can see us finishing in the top 3, otherwise I can see it be another uphill battle.

To be honest I much prefer it when we are labelled the underdogs. Enjoy the ride I'm going too.

The champiuonship is massivley competitive. I think we will be up there in the top spots but it wont be a cakewalk.

Agree with you there, hopefully we'll be in a good position come Christmas. :bluescarf:

I think the people who think were gonna piss this league have adopted the Newcastle senario.Too good to come down in the first place. It was off the field antics that got them relegated, but, more importantly managed to keep their better players at the club and were clearly too good for the championship.Sound familiar?

I think by Christmas we will be top 6. We will also I imgine be able to reinforce in the January window if he have injuries or are lacking in any particular departemnt. The squad looks excellent though. Large and plaenty of quality to take on the championship.
