Thank you

Three weeks ago I put a thread up about my Dog Max being put to sleep. Still get upset now but you lot really helped and I thank you. Especially Craig who I argue constantly with and the only thing we ever have agreed on is the day we posted on. He sent me a PM I still have a look at now. Total respect. But one thing this forum always comes up trumps with, is when something like this happens. Great to talk with many who have gone through the same.Thank you  :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

As you saw on my Facebook Steve tomorrow would have been my mate Bartley's 7th birthday. Sadly he never got past 6 and a half. When he was put to sleep I had similar messages of support from this forum which made things slightly easier.

RIP Max/Bartley.

Gone but never forgotten.

Steve, I had the same support on here when Furby was put to sleep after 15 years last October.

I still miss her and only Friday I seen a young border collie with its owner in the local park and it crossed my mind about getting another but it is too soon for me and in truth I don't know if I ever will.

Back to your post though mate, you are right, a great comforter on this forum at times of sadness though I have no doubt you shed tears reading the messages of support, I know I did.

Carl yes bang on mate. No I can't bring myself to get another dog. Our house was Max's house his garden. He was always by my side. I am still heart broken. Everywhere I go in the house I look down expecting him to be there.

Furby was cremated and I had her ashes in an urn returned to us mate, she is still with us at home because that is all she ever knew, she is still part of our day and family

To be affected by it shows that you loved your dog and gave it the best life that it could have had. Take comfort in that, not everyone treats their pets like you. I always try and cherish every moment with my 2 because as you all know for us they are only around for a small portion of our lives, but for them, you are their whole life.

Great to see that everyone was thoughtful and supportive :thumbright: :|

Fab Carl. Max was cremated and we scattered his ashes down the river at his favourite spot where he loved to play.
