Rigged for Brazil?

Fri Jul 04, 2014 9:35 pm

1st goal I thought Neymar kicked it out for goal kick and now the ref gives a free kick (great goal to be fair) for nothing after Rodriguez has been hacked at all game. Seen it a few times in the group stages as well with decisions going in favour of Brazil (Fred's Penalty)

I'm sure if Brazil are knocked out the poorer people will start rioting against the government! so maybe FIFA want Brazil to win. Or maybe I'm just biased because I think Neymar is a c**t

Brazil 2-1 Colombia World Cup 2014

James Rodriguez slots in a penalty to ensure Brazil face a nervy end to this game

Definitely not. What about the corner that Brazil should have had but a goal kick was given?

A lot of people just complaining because they wanted Columbia to go through as they were the underdogs

Lol I know there's bad decisions in football and I meant it to come across as lighthearted, but you're right I wanted Columbia to win

Yeah about how awful the ref was. He was poor but for both teams, let too much go and took too long to bring the cards out

fifa(brazil) will win this worldcup with a final against messi(argentina) its been fixed since the start and everyone else was gonna suffer for example the only way argentina and brazil could play each other was in the final why is that so ratings and money and to save face

James Rodriguez had no protection as Fernandinho had a licence to offend all match with impunity. Its matters like that that give Brazil an advantage.

How much this is down to human nature to be lenient with the home team, or corruption, is open to debate!

Carlos Velasco Carballo is one of the best referees in world football and his performances in La Liga are very consistent. However yesterday he was god damn awful. James Rodriguez was kicked off the park all game and when he himself made his first illegal tackle he was booked. He then went up to the ref and counted six times on his hands pointing all over the field to where he himself had been clattered by Brazilian players who went unpunished. Seconds later a Columbian player takes out Neymar and he ends up with a cracked vertebrae. I think that was retribution by the Columbian. Had the referee officiated the game fairly this injury to Neymar would not have occured. So yes I think this ref was given the nod let's say!
