I wouldn't mind conducting a straw poll. I'm sitting here trying to avoid the adverts by muting the sound, and wondering who, if anyone, actualky watches them. Anyone own up to this?
I was thinking in this day and age, surely these adverts are falling on deaf ears and blind eyes because anyone can switch over or switch off in the blink of an eye, or go and make a cuppa or go to the loo, or......turn on their pc, whatever!
But then I thought, no these advertisers are not thick; they're not spending mega dosh for nothing. I remembered the idea of subliminal advertising and thought....shit these bastards are getting to me after all. So the next time I order a pint of Stella instead of Fosters, is it because subconciously the Stella Ads have got to me, or is it because Fosters is a shit pint anyway and their ads are shit too?

TV advertising has dropped in price big time because of more competition but if it wasn't for adverts then you would only have the BBC so be thankful. Also in the states they are every ten mins and even more often for the mor popular programmes

I've watched more adverts in the last 3 weeks than in the last 2 years. Sky+ everything nowadays and never watch it live. Sport is the only thing I watch in real time and therefore have to put up with all the adverts!
