Well he's going to die before he finishes that one anyway so it doesn't matter.

Anyone convicted of sex crimes against children should serve life imprisonment as far as I am concerned.

It shouldn't matter how long after the crime they get caught and convicted, the dirty evil bastards are still just that.

There is a too lenient appeal placed already, will more than likely be increased

he was sentenced according to 1970s conditions so limited in what he could get. if done later sentence had higher tarrif so life would be possible.

yes but all taken as one conviction remember case similar you cannot try them as seperate offences depending on year it happened! it as to be original offence date eg earliest he commited 1st offence

Had to be sentenced based on the tariff when the offences were committed.

The judges hands were tied.

I believed there would have to be a law change to have sentences to be relevant to the time of the court case.

why should they be imprisoned?

he(them all) should be castrated and have their forhead branded with the word BEAST.

then let them walk among us.

justice will be served.

he,ll be out before the sentence is served.i hope the appeal to get him a longer sentence works.deserves to see his days out in jail .sickening man.no mention of who in the tv world knew though.some tracks have been well covered here.there is bound to be people who knew who kept schum so the ratings remained high on tv.anyone who did deserves a sentence along with the aussi pervert

He's old, he's lived his life now in freedom and he'll just spend his last couple of years in prison. Not really a fit punishment at all.

My absolute first reaction was No.
All those years of abuse, the psychological damage done, the pure f*cking arrogance of expecting not to be caught because he was a big celeb, breaking the trust that so many people put in him.

Gen Pop in a high risk prison seems the most fitting, dirty old b*stard. makes me sick

So on relection of this.....my reaction is still, No. Not long enough at all!

The crime is hideous. To a younger person I would give life. That way we at least keep such creatures off the street and safe from our children.

Rolf Harris is in his eighties. He obviously should be put behind bars but is it common sense to give him a life sentence? No it is not common sense, he should be told he will remain behind bars until he dies.

Spot on Carlos.

However as part of their life imprisonment they should be used as human guinea pigs for cancer treatment etc.
