Im inclinded to agree, I would like an experinced LB brought in to be on the safe side to be honest, Declan has good potential but looks exactly what he is, a left winger playing left back, with Kev we have a great defender who is not so great going forward and distributing the ball, but thats ok at our level as long as he does his primary role (defending) well. With Declan is looks very dodgy when being put under pressure by opposition attacking players but he is great as an attacking full back, its like he is better at his secondary role than his primary one.
