Joe Mason?

£1.5m you want and Reading and other clubs are interested. Are you happy letting him go on the cheap?

Just done a thread on this mate, apparently Reading and Bolton are both in the race for him. I'm personally not happy to let him go, he could be a big player for us if given the chance, can't see it happening though.

I did look but didn't see anything relating to the player. Anyway, it seems you are selling your players at bargain prices. Would be good to have Noone back, maybe for £500k? :bluescarf:

MASON AT 1.5 million isnt a bargain mate trust me his lack of pace will justify the price tag, please remind me who else we have sold at a bargain price

Mason is massively overrated. The only times he looked good are when Miller was telling him exactly where to go.

Ole loves Noone so no chance of him leaving

1.5m is a good price for him, hardly "on the cheap". Would rather him go considering the options we have up front.

I can't see any other sales at "bargain prices". Campbell will go for £800K due to a low release clause but all the others, Caulker, Medel, etc. are set a pretty good level. Something most clubs experience if they manage to get promoted.

£1.5m for Mason would represent a good price whether people want him to stay or not.

Personally I think he a good Championship player that will struggle to hold down a regular place at any club challenging for promotion. I really hope he proves me wrong because he's a trier and nice bloke to boot, but I doubt it :ayatollah:

If Malky was still here you might have a shout at getting Noone back as he hardly used him as a sub until the end of November whereas as OGS identified him as a key player very early in his tenure, just a shame he got injured shortly after.

Mason is a good Championship striker, will hit double figures in this league next season if played regularly.

I'd like to see him get a chance here but, if not, £1.5m isn't a bad fee for him.

Problem with Mason is he isnt very quick and not very strong......usually strikers need to be at least one or the other

1.5m seems fair and I'd hope a sell on as he has talent but it's been ruined the last two seasons, I have no idea why he wasn't loaned out for full seasons.
How many Cardiff games has he started the last two seasons? If he has been loaned out for the full two seasons I have no doubt we would have a player on our hands. Wasted talent unfortunately.

Raw but potential is there, feel like he been let down past 2 seasons.

The season we went up he came off and scored or made an impact.

1.5 million and a buy back clause

I've always seen his strengths as positioning, clever running and finishing. Maybe like a Teddy Sheringham style striker?

This sums up Mason well I'd say.

I'd like to see him tried as no. 10
