If only we had a club like that.......

I think you'll find its not the original badge.
Everton FC are by far one of the best run clubs in this country, you cannot compare the two.

why can't our club listen to fans

had we been in Evertons position ,having played in the top flight for years and years, winning the odd trophy , with 20k plus every game for as far as you look back............the rebrand couldnt have happened.........
we had a lot of new fans { 2 or 3 years }..and were desperate for success.......

Doesn't matter. Both are football clubs that were in the Prem last year, so are absolutely comparable.

Everton don't have a ton of debt either owed to HMRC and Langston (us in 2010), an owner wanting to clear it (us in 2012) or to the aforementioned owner as he sets about investing in the club to make it better (us in 2014).
Their fans can protest and lose nothing, we had a lot more to lose.
Look at Hull for a comparable example, similar financial situation and similar identity arguments.
Clubs change badges all the time, but a name and colour is a different ball game.
We are not comparable to Everton at all in these respects, even if we were both PL sides last year.

Everton and Cardiff are totally comparable for "listening to fans". Status, debt etc. doesn't matter at all. Both absolutely compare able.
One club listened, one club didn't give a f**k.

we were not in the prem when rebrand happened...........
and if you think a malaysian with a sack of money to invest along with a rebrand would be seen the same by say Leeds fans as it would by Spurs for example your thinking is way off

So status doesn't matter at all but earlier you said that us both being PL clubs meant that we were comparable?
Keep up with your own arguments

Oath comparable. Only a fool would think debt levels mattered.
Tue Jul 01, 2014 3:56 pm
The board came out and apologised immediately after the fans voiced their opinions and said that they would change it back for this season. (Replace the latin.. whatever)
that's good business sense... keep your customers happy, and provide what they want. Although he's getting people's backs up today, I believe this is what Chuckles meant?

Right because Everton fans have got a billionaire whose finance saved the club and is currently keeping it going to lose?
It makes a huge difference and already has. I am sure many of those of your persuasion have said that the threat of 'red or dead' helped stifle opposition.
