Tottenham are discussing a deal for Wilfried Bony with Swansea, according to reports from Goal.

The Ivorian international – who recently returned home after his nation’s poor showing at the World Cup – has only been a Swans star for 12 months, but is already being intensely linked with a switch away from the Liberty Stadium.

Liverpool and Arsenal have been aligned with the 25-year-old in recent weeks, but it now appears that Spurs are leading the way.

Tottenham Hotspur want Swansea City's Michel Vorm as well as Ben Davies?

By Joe Fish, Reporter

Last Updated: Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 01:42 UK
Swansea City may have to fend off interest from Tottenham Hotspur in another one of their star names as reports link Michel Vorm with a move to London.

New Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is believed to have sanctioned a £8m bid for Swans left-back Ben Davies, who has impressed during the past two seasons.

The Daily Mail claims that they are also interested in Dutch goalkeeper Vorm, who has been a consistent figure in between the posts since signing from FC Utrecht in 2011, but faces an uncertain future now that Garry Monk has recruited ex-Arsenal stopper Lukas Fabianksi.

Spurs are monitoring several goalkeepers as they brace themselves for Paris Saint-Germain's pursuit of Hugo Lloris, but Pochettino apparently wants to add Vorm to his squad regardless of the Frenchman's movements.

The Welsh outfit are thought to be keen on Lillywhites midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, a former Swansea loanee, and so it appears as though the respective boardrooms could be in talks throughout the summer.
