Tony Pulis is preparing a £8 million bid for Cardiff defender Steven Caulker and is confident of keeping Yannick Bolasie at Crystal Palace.
Pulis will rival Queens Park Rangers by matching the escape clause in Caulker’s contract after identifying the former Tottenham Hotspur centre-half as a priority summer signing.
Caulker will be allowed to leave Cardiff if clubs meet the required clause and has already been the subject of a bid from Championship play-off winners QPR.
Palace are also ready to meet the figure while there are other Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Southampton, considering offers.
The deal could be complicated by the bad blood that exists between the two clubs over last season’s ‘Spygate’ scandal but Pulis is keen to strike a deal in the next few weeks.

I think he'll go to a London club to be nearer 'home'.

Yeah can see him joining a London club most prob QPR with a massive wage packet. Ship him out as soon as and get the replacement in early

QPR or palace. He will struggle to go straight into the team at Liverpool or spurs.

I think he would do well under Brenda, he has a bad track record with signings but caulkers the type of person who should fit in well there.

He is not really a vast improvement on their current CBs.

I've never rated someone like sakho, probably just me but I see good potential in caulker under good coaches.
