me and my m8 just got one. cost 30 quid between us but one away game on the train should get our money back. fill in a simple form with a couple of passport photos and you can get it done at a train station, so no postage and waiting. so 90 quid costs 60 quid with the railcard 
. you can also use it on trainline which makes it even cheaper. i paid 24 quid for a return ticket to the hawthorns from brighton last year on trainline, be 16 this year if we were still in the prem. that would have given me a free breaky and a pint at wetherspoons
